In association with Siasat Daily and Faize Aam Trust, Helping Hands collects used clothes, washed, ironed, packed and distribute the same among the needy people on daily basis. The said bank was started with 10,000 dresses on 29 Apr ’16. Till date 56,000 pairs of dresses were distributed among the needy. Often we also go to suburbs and outskirts to distribute the clothes among the needy localities. So far several localities in and around Hyderabad have been covered. At the time of distress, riots, floods or any natural disaster, Helping Hands also dispatched hundreds of dresses to these areas. Jammu and Kashmir, Patna, Muzaffarnagar and Delhi are few such examples.
At any given time Kapda Bank has more than 10,000 dresses. Apart from dresses, it also has a large collection of other utility items like ladies purses, foot wear, belts and toys. A branch at Moula Ali also functions for easy disbursement in these far flung areas. Time to time distribution was also done through several outlets in various localities.
Special packs are also offered to bride and bride grooms.
During winter a special drive is being taken up every year to disburse warm clothes, blankets, sweaters and jackets in several areas including outside Hyderabad and to almost every person sleeping on pavements, in all the localities of Hyderabad/Secunderabad.
