
Helping Hands is a registered trust with an objective to provide a helping hand to the most deserving individuals/families. The main focus is on education – to ensure that no child should stay at home for want of money to go to school, and secondly to provide means to the parents so that down the line the head of the family (father or mother), should be able to support their family without any external assistance.
Though Helping Hands started its activity in Feb ’12, it was formally registered in Mar ’13. It started its activities from Qayam Nagar, Hyderabad – a locality of 400 families, on the way to the airport, but very soon it spread to other parts of the city, and now to even outside the State of Telengana. It runs a Sunday School, to teach English and Maths for students of classes I-VII followed by lunch, two tailoring centres, a Kapda Bank, provide monthly financial assistance/grain bags to widows and needy and few other related activities. Helping Hands also run a regular full-fledged school, The Star School at AC Guards, Khairatabad, Hyderabad since Jul ’19.
Helping Hands has a license for IT exemption under Sec 80 G of Government of India and also to receive funds from overseas under FCRA.
Helping Hands also has an Ijaza to receive Khums.
