Continuing with the mission that there shall not be any child who is not going to school only because of financial reasons, Helping Hands strives hard to support, guide, mentor and handhold all such individuals and families. Helping Hands support students with their tuition fee, text books, uniforms, conveyance to select students, laptops to engineering students or any facility which might add strength to the student.
As on 31 Mar ’20, a total of 795 students were supported during the year and the details of previous years are mentioned in the table below. Helping Hands takes pride to say that it has produced the first girl Engineer in Computer Science from Qayam Nagar in the last 30 years, and several other students in other streams are on their way.
Monthly counseling meetings are held inviting students and parents. Each meeting has a specific topic and relevant speaker are invited to talk to the group.
It is the continuous effort of Helping Hands because of which several students have successfully entered into several professional courses like engineering, pharmacy, nursing, medicine, education and now they are proud to stand on their own.
